82 Queen’s outdoor patio is one of the nicest dining places in the city. It’s a must try just to sit outside in the patio area. The restaurant itself has a very old fashioned feel to it and is one of my favorite places in the city. The food here is great, although they have changed the menu since I was last here.
Good food. Nothing super. Service was great and love the atmosphere. I got the strip steak and mashed potatoes and grill asparagus. Steak had a lot of fat and gristle on it.
Amateurish kitchen under New Chef and kitchen staff. Expected a great meal with great service. Service was great, meal was mediocre. Crab cakes came cold, second order was warm, but plate was not warmed so got cold in a hurry. Food has potential, but still has lot lot of amateurish kinks to work out. Shrimp and grits was ok, but not great. She-crab soup was excellent.When kitchen issues were called to their attention, Management was polite, but did not seem that interested.Suggest they pay more attention to details and to customer feedback.
Had an amazing lunch here. I had the Chicken and Crab along with a cup of She Crab soup. The entire meal was absolutely delicious. Service was friendly. The ambiance of the courtyard was great. Overall the whole experience was fantastic and we can’t wait to go back!
This wasn’t a stellar night for 82 queen. Waited 15 mins for a table, with a reservation. I ordered the special, ribeye steak and while it was good, it was not great. Fingerling potatoes were underdone. All was seasoned well.My sister had the scallops which were done well, the sides were over salted and not edible.With all the choices in Charleston, I would go somewhere else.
Restaurant week at 82 Queen a big disappointment. Certainly not a bargain. Servings were very small. Left hungry, the pork loin was about 4 ounces. It was served with about two tablespoons of vegetables. Would rather have payed more and gotten full servings. The flavors were OK, nothing to entice us to return.
