Referred to this place by a fellow Gullah Geechee nation festival attendee . The shrimp Mac n cheese seems to be popular, not very good to me. The platter that I did have with rice, spinach, bacon wrapped shrimp & crab stuffed shrimp was very good. The Mountain Dew icee wasnt anything to brag about, but I wanted the bubba gump cup that lights up. It was average at best, friendly staff, decent prices, on the street parking.

Where to get sea food and a three hour movie??. I originally came here because I wanted seafood and this is the only place I could find in downtown charleston. I ordered the forest seafood feast and some drinks with my wife. We weren’t planning on staying long… but they had forest Gump playing. We were able to get subtitles on and stayed for the next three hours to watch/ read the movie.08 Mar, 2015Forrests Seafood Feast. It Is good, be prepared to ask for more sauces.
We picked this place because it was my daughters choice. However I kept an open mind hoping the reviews were wrong. Well I can say that it was a huge let down not to mention way over priced for the quality of food. My wife and I both had a cup of soup to start. I had the Shrimp gumbo and she had the She crab soup. Both were luke warm and nothing special at all. The shrimp gumbo was a spicy broth and rice. I wasn’t lucky enough to get a shrimp. The she crab soup was somewhat creamy, but only offered very small crab like pieces. My daughter had a house salad that was average at best. I wish I could say something positive about the rest of the meal but it only went down from there. My advice to anyone visiting Charleston is to stop by Bubba Gumps to get a t shirt but find another place to eat. The city is loaded with great choices. This is not one of them.
Gimmicky. The kids wanted to come here after we visited last year. I didn’t have a good experience last year, but I decided I’d give it another shot. Too bad, because it was worse this time. Bad service, bad food. Employees bringing their dogs in and giving them food and water right by the clean cups. Just bad all the way around.My son just wanted a larger portion of their mac and cheese, and they couldn’t do that without buying two whole kids meals. :-/ Just an easy way to sell more… Go somewhere else that offers better service and more authentic food from the area if you want something other than a bad chain restaurant experience.
