this was a dining experience. we had several of the small plates and they were excellent. the unusual ingredients and delicious sauces were wonderful. we finished with a layered chocolate dessert and loved it. my husband was a bit reserved about the small plates , but was a big fan by the time the night was over. we had the quail, grouper, red snapper, potatoes and shrimp. each is a small plate and our server suggested trying 2-3 it was a memorable dining experience and would highly recommend. guests were dressed from casual to a night on the town, and it was great
Tiny portions, over priced but good food. To be fair, they put out some great food. But when 80% of the plate arrives empty…. We all left hungry and had to go eat else where AFTER our $300 dinner for 6. We actually laughed a bit at how little food there was on the plate. I suppose it’s great if you are on a diet. We won’t be back. Of the hundreds of amazing, and filling, restaurants in Charleston, this isn’t on our return to list.
Overpriced and under portioned!. Booked reservations two months in advance, was seated in the lobby. Ordered three meals per person and still walked away hungry. Food tasted fine, but should have been filling for the price.
We showed up with reservations. The kid at the front reception said we could have a seat at the bar. This was at 5pm on a Sunday night mind you. The place was empty!Overpriced!!My wife ordered a cocktail and came out less than half full. We inquired and the waiter said that’s 3 ounces….that’s it. Portions are small…this is OK but they’re really small, enough for a couple of bites at $18 bucks a plate. That’s $9 bucks/bite… My advice, skip this place and go to Fig or Magnolia.
Overpriced and terrible. Left hungry. Go anywhere else for better meal same price.
We had a large party (9) of business associates. Although the restaurant was less than a quarter full, they refused to seat us together, so we walked out. We regularly spend $2-3,000 on these dinners together – but I guess they don’t want our money.
The service and atmosphere were wonderful. The cocktails were delicious. The food was combined in ways that I have never tasted and never want to taste again. Far to experimental for my wife and I. We had far better food for a fraction of the cost other places. I cannot recommend this restaurant and will not be going back!
