Ate here on a Monday night which was not busy. We were seated immediately by a very friendly hostess. Our waiter tried very hard, but seemed rushed and overwhelmed. The sampler we ordered for our group did have good baba ganoush. The falafel was tasteless and dry. My shawarma had no flavor at all. My very small salad had wilted greens with a very small part of a slice of a mushy tomato. I have eaten a lot of great middle eastern food and this was disappointing. To top of a very bad celebratory dinner, the owner(?) came by and insulted my group by pointing out the color of my friend’s hair and calling her a he. When I spoke up in our shocked silence that I thought her hair was beautiful, he made a face, grunted something unintelligible and walked away. A terrible way to end our dinner with such blatant discrimination towards my friend.
