This place is highly recommended. We stopped by for a drink and appetizers. I ordered a french fashion that was very good while my wife enjoyed a glass of wine. The atmosphere is very comfortable. We had the sausage and cheese board as our appetizers. The cheese board was superb. It was amazing and the sausage was great. I give the place my highest rating and i’m coming back for dinner soon.
Wondered around the state house and got thirsty. Saw this cute place and came in for a drink. Rudest bartender. Terrible service. Didn’t even offer water. You really shouldn’t judge your guest by their looks. Never coming back.
Great setting to sip some very good bourbon and nosh a bit as well. Servers are quite knowledgable and have very helpful suggestions. It is a happening place.
Very small portions. I got a bowl of gumbo that came out lukewarm and very bland. It took forever (despite the restaurant being mostly empty), and so by the time my waitress came back I had eaten half of the bowl because I was just that hungry. I mentioned that I didn’t care for the rest. The service was great (apart from slow), half the cost of my gumbo was subtracted from my check. I suppose I’d go back, but I would probably order something else.
Creole has arrived in Columbia. We had an amazing time at Bourbon. Our waitress was top notch and the food was everything creole food should be. We had the Boudin Balls for an appetizer which were delicious! My bavette steak was cooked perfectly and so tender and delicious. My gf’s pork chop was cooked just right as well. The collard greens are every bit as good, if not better, than anywhere in Columbia. And the crispy brussel sprouts were so addicting with just the right amount of salt. Drinks were cheaper than I expected, $9 for an Old Fashioned, but a good pour and a really good slight sweet taste. The only thing I would pass on next time is probably the dessert. We got the chocolate bourbon balls, which came with three tiny chocolates a little bigger than a peanut M&M which a strip of caramel bourbon sauce drizzled on the plate. Overall, we spent about $100 with a generous tip and buying the kitchen a round of beer. We will definitely be back!
Horrible service. Food is average to good. However, the service staff is not interested in serving you. My party left very dissatisfied. Avoid making our mistake and take your business elsewhere.
Don’t Go!. Worst experience!!! Though the food was OK save yourself from any drama. I was over charged on my credit card due to a waitress who possibly altered the tip on my receipt. It’s been almost a month and the Mgr Rick has not resolved my issue. I was not the only one in my party who is going through the same situation and her issue is unresolved as well. DON’T GO TO THIS PLACE… They don’t care about their customers once they get your money.
