I expexted more. First time i called at 11:15a i was told my single takeout order would take 30m, which is not up to par. Next attempt, Schnitzel sandwich consisted solely of breaded pork on storebought multigrain bread with a packet of mustard on the side, and wasnt as flavorful as I hoped. Salad was very basic. Only thing I really enjoyed was the cold green beans. Overpriced to boot with no credit cards accepted. I am usually lenient with ethnic restaurants as I am a know-nothing American, but this doesnt cut it from any perspective.

I would love to give you a review of the food but after almost 2 hours we finally left! Horrible customer service experience — two couples were sat before us – in the 2 hours we were there waitress never have us a refill or even came by to give us on an update or offer an apology about the slow service – apparently the cook can only do one order at a time — surprisingly because the entire menu is just different variations of the same dish with the only change being the sauce. The German salad we were serves as an appetizer was barely edible and had a inch of liquid in the bottom of the bowl ! Beer I got 15 mins after I ordered it was not the one I ordered and was not cold at all – seemed like someone went to a store and pulled it off the shelf and poured it in the glass ! DONT BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE YOU ARE WAISTING YOU TIME AND MONEY !!!

Not a Fan. Atmosphere was not nice (old, outdated decor). The service was poor (wrong beer poured, forgot to bring side dish, etc.). Servings were large, but food was only so-so (dry schnitzel, watery potato salad). Bill was wrong. (Had pork schnitzel, but charged for veal.) No reservations accepted. Cash only. No credit cards. debit cards or checks accepted. Overall, a disappointing experience.

I wish I could spell schnitzel. Did I get it right? Delicious, enormous portions. Regarding the previous comment, my family and I aren’t regulars, but our table was visited by the owner and the chef, and I felt like a valued customer. I wish they would pan fry their spaetzle or do something to liven it up. Julia’s cakes are amazing.

Food is sliping, and its sad. Mmm its good food but its really slipped the last two times we have went in 2013 verse 5 years back. Now you enter and you get the Oh youre not a regular look from both customers and staff. Heard that from others also, the quant atmosphere has just gotten dingy with no change, age and yellowing. Still no ac, 8 tables packed in and almost no parking area we are not going back.

Really great, authentic German food. Make sure you bring cash! We had the cheesy Jaegerschnitzel with German potato salad and the veal schnitzel with spealke (sp?). It was all really delightful, and the restaurant is very cozy.
