My boyfriend and I made a stop here for a quick lunch before a long 5-hr drive home. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen, boyfriend got the miso ramen, and we shared gyoza. Very tasty! The noodles were perfectly al dente and springy, the broth was piping hot and deliciously rich, the boiled egg’s yolk was soft, gold, and beautiful, and the pork was tender. The gyoza was just as amazing! Absolute satisfaction for someone that has a ramen-tooth like me! Makes me wish we had ramen shop like this in our city. I hope I can come back soon!
Been there twice now. First time got the chicken ramen. More like pho soup than any ramen I’ve had before. Ok, but pho was better, though having only had real ramen once (there’s a few more kinds to try) my opinion may change later. Went back for onigiri (salt flavor, they also have picked plum and two kinds of fish), the triangle of rice wrapped in seaweed you see on TV. After peeling off the seaweed it was pretty good.Nothing special to me taste buds, but many seem to rave about it and the first time I went there was a line out the door.Coke products and pocari sweat to drink.Good, friendly service, nothing to complain about. Portions are huge.I’d rank it higher if the flavor was more compelling, but there’s plenty of better tasting options nearby.
I ate here years ago with my dad and loved it. We planned a lunch there and was sad to find that the broth was all pork based, as I had developed an intolerance over the summer. I hold this place near and dear to my heart, but i would love if they made a chicken or beef broth 🙂
