Great food, terrible service. Had lunch with a friend at Nonnah’s today – it took almost an hour and a half for sandwiches and we had to ask 3 times for our check. My sandwich and the apple salad were very good but I will probably not go back simply because of the poor service.
My husband and I went here before going to the SC Philharmonic concert and we enjoyed it. The ravioli was very good. The sauce was excellent. Wine priced reasonably. Dessert was great Xander the coffee even better. Highly reccomend.
Worst Dinner Ever. Nonnah’s is a very well known dessert place, and that is exactly how it should stay. The dinner I had there was the worst I’ve ever had in my life. I took a date there and was completely embarrassed. I had the herb encrusted salmon which looked as though it had been removed from a wrapper and cooked in a microwave. It tasted even worse! The vegetables were also way under cooked and rubbery, which leads me to believe they were also cooked in a microwave. Does this place even have a stove/grill? My date had the salmon patty which was just as bad but also came with what appeared to be instant mash potatoes. The worst thing about the experience is that no one on the staff questioned why we barely touched the food! This place should stop serving dinner and stick to desserts. After an incredibly unpleasant experience we went to Mojitos for some real food. If you’re looking for a place to eat dinner skip Nonnah’s and save yourself from spending $40 on the worst food in town.
Yes on the Desserts!. I agree that the desserts are the best part of Nonnah’s menu. The apple pie, which I ordered, is wonderful.
The desserts are AWESOME! Dinner, not so much. Save a buck and go somewhere else for dinner, then come here for a night cap.
Amazing is all I can say. Best place to culminate an evening in Columbia. From atmosphere to coffee or drinks and obviously the out of this world desserts, this is the #1 spot to eat. Worth the price, I would pay double the amount charged if needed, enough said…
The cakes are amazing, but the service when I went will keep me from ever going back… 2 pieces of cake, a cappuccino and an espresso shouldn’t take over an hour… No b.s….
