Great Food Great Staff Great Place. We write this review after reading some of the comments made here regarding one of our favorite places to go, The Stonefire Grill in northeast Columbia. We have dined there many times and now make it our Sunday brunch destination too. We have been there with large and small parties, with reservations and without and about 5 minutes before closing time and have never once had a bad experience. We have told numerous friends and associates of the restaurant who have also had good experiences. We have always found the service to be courteous and professional. I can not remember even one visit where the manager on duty did not come over to our table to check on us. The food has always been excellent and I would highly recommend the meatloaf, shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes, chicken salad and the flatbreads are awsome. We also love those little bagels too and if you want to try a great beer try the Tripel Karmeliet on draught. We have always been made to feel welcome there and consider the Stonefire Grill one of the best restaurants in Columbia.I regret that the customer with the 80th birthday party had her event disrupted but I strongly believe this was more the exception than the rule and we would like to invite her grandmother to join us there for dinner on us and I believe she will have as great an experience as we always do.And to the customer that said the food was very over priced….Buger King is less than a block away. Enjoy!
What a great place to eat & drink!. Stonefire is a gem in the Northeast. Good food, fantastic wine selection, and lots of top-shelf beers. Be careful ordering the meatloaf, because they give you so much – it is so good, you will be tempted to eat it all by yourself. The bar staff and servers are always friendly, professional, and efficient – hard to find that combination in any other local joint. They do have a private dining room, and we have eaten in it many times – never any issues. The General Manager is very friendly and accomodating, and treats guests with professionallism, tact, and superior customer service. Why drive downtown when such a great place, with reasonable prices and wonderful people, are this close?
Best Place In The North East. This place beats any loud bar I’ve ever been. They play background music that’s not overpowering. I can actually hear the person next to me as well as the person at the end of the bar. The wait staff was very friendly and knowedgeable of the menu. The menu, by the way, changes from time to time. The food here is always great and doesn’t brake the bank. Last night I had the shrimp stuffed mushrooms, tavern fries and the jambalaya. I paired that with a Belgain beer to make for an excelent meal. I will go back to Stonefire again and again.
I must vehemently disagree with the reviews I saw regarding Stonefire!!! The staff is fantastic and bends over backwards to be accommodating . Poor planning on the part of patrons should not be bled on the staff!!!! Great food and service. Your comments are at the least completely untrue and uncalled for
Zero Customer Service – Regarding the 80th b’day!. Bottom line is they need to take some courses in customer service. We all make mistakes, but the fact that they accused us of being in error, and treated us with zero class or professionalism is what is so irritating. We are forgiving people; we would have been more than happy to work with them and still enjoy a nice dinner. It was very clear they double booked the room, however since the room wasn’t available, how about offer up the main dining area and seat us within a reasonable distance of one another. Instead the staff was very rude and said they didn’t have enough people there to accommodate a party that large. Okay people…this is a Saturday evening…you don’t have the staff on hand to handle a crowd? Suppose a few parties of four walk in and then another couple of two party tables come in, are you just gonna say sorry we can’t help you, you need to leave? That makes NO SENSE!!! Who turns away business like that? I’ve never dealt with a business who didn’t try to rectify the situation when the error is theirs. Rude, Rude, and need I say…Rude!
Stone fire is great! The review regarding a 80th bday seems to me like you just news to get over it. If it was that important you would called and checked way before a hour before!
Follow up to manager comments. We have eaten here several times and I was therefore shocked by the extraordinarily rude way we were treated when we went to celebrate my grandmother’s 80th birthday. I understand that you need to have policies in place for large parties, however we have a recorded CONFIRMATION from your manager for our party. That is why we were understandably shocked when we got there (with many guests from out of town) that you could not accommodate us. Further the manager on staff was not trying to accommodate us. We even offered to pay the entire bill with one payment to make things easier on the staff since Stonefire obviously double booked the room. She remained extremely flustered raising her voice at us and refused to let us speak to anyone else. She further refused to give us the name of the owner stating that the problem did not concern him. If it was my business I would want to know if that many people were unhappy with my establishment and if what she said is true and he doesn’t care about his customers, I don’t see them staying around very long. Arizonas was extremely wonderful in accommodating our party even though it was prom night. Big kudos to Arizonas for helping make an 80th birthday special.
