Service with a Bang!. Capital experience tonight, despite having to wait about 15 minutes longer than originally told (busy Saturday night). While waiting, the manager came around to offer a sample of the Saucy Shrimp appetizer, which despite the mall foodcourt-ness of it, was appreciated, plus tasty. I would have ordered it but my wife was turned off by the heavy butter in the sauce (I wasn’t). The Bang Bang shrimp and caesar salad were, as usual, excellent. The bread was warm and the pesto/olive oil dip was outstanding, with an abundance of herbs (something not found often). I sampled the ceviche for the first time, which is a cold (but cooked) seafood appetizer, heavy on the cilantro and lime. I found it a delicious new taste experience, although probably not for everybody’s buds. My wife’s fish taco was solid, but not peerless, with mango salsa. Garlic mashed potatoes were perfect. Unfortunately, I found my Fish N Chips to be a greasy moderately breaded tilapia, and was too heavy for my taste. When my waitress, Laura B, saw my unfinished plate, she asked about it and I told her the same, that it was allright but just not my thing today. Well, without my asking or expecting, she checked with the manager and knocked the price off my bill. That was a very pleasant surprise, and she also kept my sweet tea glass sated despite the crowd. We look forward to returning for the exceptional service experience and the eminent appetizers.
Decent service. The portions were pretty small, but it was good.
Went in for dessert. We were seated then waited 20 minutes for a server. Even after asking guy at the front where our server was no one ever showed so we left. Amazing. I expected much better.
Love this Place!. Food is great! Service is also great! This is definitely one of my favorite places to eat!
Well, I’m not running back… I actually went to a BG in New Jersey, so it is possible that things are hugely different here in Cola-town, right? Naw, I doubt it. I got the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer and wish I’d know to get the mayonaise-ey sauce on the side. It doesn’t take longer for lightly fried shrimp to lose their crispness when slathered with a sauce. So, the flavors were all good, but it ended up being sort of soggy. It did seem like there was enough to share. I can’t remember the entree now, but I was struck with how the reputation of this restaurant did not live up to my expectations. It seemed like any other chain restaurant where the menu items are trucked in frozen and then prepared; it just wasn’t as great as I had hoped it would be. It was also loud and overpriced for what you get.
Can I up size that?. The food is awesome but the portions could be a little bigger.
