The seafood garganzola and chicken Santa fe is delicious. This place is truly the creme de la creme of Italian restaurants. If you do not fancy salad, then the crab bisque soup can substitute. I really wish they had more variety than just pasta.
This was our first visit of many to come… The restaurant was really cute with nice outside dining and the food was two thumbs up! They had the text when your table is ready service which was nice too.
Went there because of how the pasta is made fresh daily & you can tell once the food arrives. The servers aren’t attentive & do not cater to specific request made on orders. Kind of pricey but overall a great date spot if you’re trying to impress the person of interest. Go when it’s not a rush dinner.
Good food, nice atmosphere. It can get noisy so try to go when it’s not rush time. The location of Forest Drive in the old San Jose building is much better than the corner of Beltline and Forest in the original location. And the food is much better now!!!! Also the waitress will take your food and box it for you unless you ask for the box to be brought to you for your leftovers.
More good than bad–flavors need work. Loved the atmosphere–decorated very nicely. Modern and rustic at the same time. Also, very much appreciated the gluten free options for my husband…very hard to find a pasta-based eatery. Overall, I felt the food was bland, though. The Soutwest Chicken I ordered (with a yummy sounding cilantro-mint sauce over spinach spaghetti) was disappointing. The flavors just left a little to be desired and the dish could have packed a much bigger punch. Watered down and underseasoned overall…but the ingredients were clearly very fresh.15 Jul, 2014More good than bad–flavors need work. Absolutely love the atmosphere–very nicely decorated. Also love the gluten free options for my husband (very tough to find at a pasta-based eatery). I found the food overall to be bland though. I had the Southwest Chicken with the Cilantro-Mint sauce over spinach spaghetti. Great concept, but the flavor just didn’t deliver. The sauce tasted watered down and underseasoned.
Meh – Will Go To be With My Friends Who Want To Be There. I have been here with family a few times and with a group a few times, and was not overly impressed any of these times. The food is decent and its freshness is appealing, but it has not seemed to be anything to rave over at any visit, and is a little pricey. I must agree with reviews I have seen that say the food is oily on the plate. Never one to send things back, at my most recent visit I had a horrid taste of a house wine -very bitter and sour, as if it had sat out in the heat way too long – and I sent it back and asked for something different. I was still charged for it. I was with a big group and the staff was already less than stellar, so I didn’t make an issue of it, but it matters. The place is pretty loud, even when not very crowded.
So glad we tried this place! Everything was super fresh (had scallops and shrimp) and well made. They also have lots of options to make your meal exactly what you want (whole wheat pasta, spinach angel hair, mixed greens instead of pasta). Service and atmosphere were also wonderful, definitely will be back. We also brought our 6 month old and they were super accommodating and sweet.
