Not what I expected. I picked up a togo order of the Mac N Cheese. When I walked in, it was not welcoming. It took the hostess about 3 minutes to get to me. The bar tender looked over at me numerous times and never came over. A waitress had to point him to me. I picked up my to go order and drove from Forest Drive back to Harbison. The Pork belly was dry this is NOT gouda cheese it was heavy on the pepper & bland. The only thing good about the was the sweet potato gnocchi. You can never go wrong with gnocchi. The menu makes it sound like the pork belly was just thrown on top like a slice of bacon and was not braised. I did speak with a manager that was very kind and welcoming to the feedback about the dish.

Amazing!. Tombo is by far one of the best dining experiences in Columbia and the creativity in every dish is evident in every bite. I started with the Bourbon Braised Short Ribs over fried risotto and it fell apart beautifully then had the Seared Scottish salmon over a jasmine rice sautee which they top with fried capers. The added texture was the perfect touch. Combined with a comprehensive wine and craft beer selection and a seasoned wait staff, Tombo Grille is a Columbia gem.

Boyfriend and I went to tombo last night. It was awesome! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was amazing, and the food was some of the best we have had in Columbia. We shared the fried oysters with cucumber aioli and they were to die for. I had the best shrimp and grits ever (and I’m a southern girl who knows her shrimp and grits). My boyfriend had the game hens with sweet potato hash, and they were delightful. We will definitely go back!

Very good to great food based on local farms & ranches. Reasonable prices with adequate beer, wine & spirits lists. Monday Music is a fantastic idea.
