Visited here after a local reference and wanting BBQ nearby. It’s cheap, around $7 for lunch, but slim pickings. The only meat is pulled pork or fried chicken (no ribs or anything related). They have the usual sides: beans, rice, collared greens, etc. Most are flavorless and/or instant like the mashed potatoes. Waitress brought us beers with caps still on, and ladies wine were in huge glasses (about a half a bottle of wine in each). Pretty funny to say the least.Overall, we were impressed with the pork, and the buffet is cheap. But the sides aren’t memorable and the decor is a bit dated. We’d come back for a quick hit for sure but wasn’t our favorite in/around Myrtle Beach.

Great BBQ! Some of the most moist pork I’ve ever had. Big, well priced buffet and would definitely recommend. Lots of different beans on the buffet (4 the day we went). The true test of a BBQ restaurant to me is the hash and this has was truly great; I cannot say the same for the rice. The only thing missing from the buffet was the banana puddin’.

Good food and atmosphere and a lot of food for the money

We had the buffet – big mistake! Food was dry, cold, and was only passable at best. Chicken was decent, but only had dark meat thighs on the buffet. Most of the vegetables were overcooked – mashed potatoes were under seasoned and instant… Yuck! Other diners were scarfing up platefuls of the swill quite willingly. If you are hungry, but unconcerned about taste check it out. If you are craving good Southern cooking – go elsewhere!!!!

Might just have the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. The BBQ is good and the buffet is full of wonderful southern classics. We will drive 45 min just to eat here. If you skip this place you are missing out. Back to the chicken… story has ot that the man who sold this place has a special way to fry chicken and he passed it along with the keys to the new owner.. and I believe he was a genius!

Good. The building itself is not too impressive (inside or out) but I don’t go to a bbq joint for the architecture. The bbq is very good. Moist and tasty! A nice buffet set-up inside looked appealing, but we all just ordered a bbq sandwich plate. The slaw was good, fries were nothing to get excited about, but the bbq was good. Glad we stopped by this out of way place! we will return when in the area.

Great buffet. It isn’t much to look at from outside, but the buffet has lots of great-tasting homestyle bbq, fried chicken, and southern veggies. Can’t wait to go back!
