ok, so im back with another one. QUIGLEY’S! wooooo, my fianc picked it out on Google (2-2 today) … solid vibe, tucked away in Litchfield (technically)… so let’s get to the specific food items that were killer. beer – A+ (brewed by them, Irish Stout. ) pimento cheese plate/homemade biscuits w/ cappuccino butter – A+ (magical.) burger/grouper – A- (grouper was fresh with tuna tar tar & burger was solid, a tad overcooked, and fell apart but i got it with everything.) guys look at the trend… A’s and the last time i checked that’s GOOD. GO! NOW! and if they aren’t open, wait there until they open!
Been here 6 times now. Their consistency and service as well as food quality is not matched by many restaurants around this area! Quigley’s is always on top of their game!…..I digress, the waiter was friendly and polite. The specials of the day were intriguing, and the special grouper on a bed on Ceasar salad was simple yet perfect with all the right seasoning and spice! Quigleys does home cooking and low country cooking well, another in my party had shrimp and grits. And the portions will not let you leave hungry (you always ask for a take home box). Check this place out if you are visiting this area! Top notch!
Overall good but with a few hit and misses. This seemed the best choice for us for dinner for our night in Litchfield. It was conveniently located near our hotel and had good reviews. We arrived at 5:30 and there was hardly any parking. By 6:00 pm it was full, so obviously a local favorite. Between the two of us we had the chicken and waffles, fried chicken with mashed potatoes and succotash, and the fried pickles. The pickles were on the salty side but a large portion. The chicken was excellent but the waffles were so dry I could hardly eat them. The butter served with them tasted ‘freezer-stale’ – nasty. No syrup was provided. The gravy on the side was good, not great. The succotash was bland but the mashed potatoes were good. The avocado butter with the complimentary biscuits were quite good. Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and efficient.
I like the food and peach beer. I’m down to Pawleys every few weeks and I always eat here. My favorites are the Pub Burger and Peach Beer. My wife also like to come here because of the peach beer. I highly recommend this place for anyage.
Bimbo waitresses. Nacho app was good (notice the portions are getting smaller). The other orders were fair when they finally arrived. We had to ask several times for drinks when it was obvious that our wine and iced tea glasses were and had been empty. Just because we aren’t frequent flyers or guys, doesn’t mean we don’t deserve decent service!
Fried Pickles and Fried Green Tomatoes. Yum!01 Aug, 2014Great service and food. Check out happy hour, $2 pints! Fried pickles were awesome.
Local Favorite. I’m a local and can ride our bikes to Quigley’s. When we have guests this is our first food stop. Best burgers on the beach, awesome entree’s to suit everyone. Love the tavern fries, I don’t drink but am told by friends with their beer creations are very good. I’ve tried likely everything they have and everything is exceptional.Only negative is the space is too small. They should expand to the space next door which is awful and has been 4 different things since 2008.
