Disatisfied. I had lunch there. Was not impressed one bit. I ordered a blackened grouper sandwich. The bread was old. The grouper was overcooked. The home made chips cooked to death. The coleslaw was perhaps the worse I ever had. I will not go back. Someone I was with ordered the fish tacos. He didn’t eat the last one of the three small sad tacos he was served.
We have no problem hiring blacks its waiting on them we dont like. I have been to this establishment on more than one occassion and the last one (and i do mean last) was the worst..i was being waited on by a young girl who’s boss would rather chalk my experience off to her being inexperienced rather than admit what they did was so wrong -she seemed pretty experienced when i was alone,it wasnt till my guest joined me(black) that she all of a sudden became inexperienced-if i didnt see it myself i would have never believed it-but yes i am white and saw first hand the true color of this owner when he excused her behavior-she had 3 tables outside and all where white -that is till my guest joined and then we became invisible-for 2 damn hours!!!!she never returned to the table …shame on this restaurant shame shame shame
We will hire the black man but we dont care to wait on the black man. Found this owner to be phoney after i called in a complaint to him -rather than to appologize he chose to cover for his employee,i was being waited on fine and when my guest joined me i stayed another 2 hours just to witness my waitress wait on all the tables around me(all white) and never came back to my table…the owner says he watched the film and all he saw was an inexperienced waitress, of course she had no problem with the other two tables she had..yeah inexperience…then the owner turned it into a pissing contest by saying he could swear he saw me try to push her…shame on you thumbs down all the way couldnt pay me to go back- and yes im white and ashamed of his behavior
This place is great! Love the atmosphere and the people, the food is amazing. Best fried fish, clams and shrimp in Greenville.
Best country boil i’ve had to date. Crab, mussels, clams, oysters and shrimp were the bomb. Added salmon blackened, grouper done key west style and cheese grits to the mix. Washed it down with happy hour drafts of Kona Longboard. The atmosphere was as good as the food. Great service. Cant say anything but good for this fine establishment. Enjoy!
Scale of 1-5 (high) Give it about a 4.. It was my first visit. It’s kind of tucked away, away from from the main stream hustle and bustle. Nice surprise. We were greeted by a not so friendly hostess. Then we were seated out on the veranda, which was nice. Waited about 10 minutes for service and was then greeted by a not so friendly server. The table was dirty and sticky and I asked our server if she could clean it for us. Although, she agreed, it was never done. I ended up laying paper towels out. Order came out wrong twice. In the end, the food was good. Although, with the mishaps, we will return. The atmosphere is really good and customers were jovial and inter-mingling with each other.
Great atmosphere. Food was fresh and delicious. Loved it!
