BJ Cross. My friend and I went here last night and were not impressed. I had a coupon they refused to honor, which was no big deal, but my friend had to send back her fork twice for being dirty. The food was good, but I could not get over the dirty utensils. Made me wonder what else was not clean. Then, about 3am, I had Montezuma’s revenge, something I did not even get when I went to Mexico. If you are looking for good Mexican food, look somewhere else.

Great food–fresh and authentic–and incredible service (after the second visit, they treated us like friends; after the third, like family) are the calling cards. The surroundings are attractive, and there’s a backyard court for nice days too. And the prices are very reasonable. A last note–make sure to save room for a spapillo for desert. The only negative? For some reason, the owner uses the out-front handicapped parking space as a personal fiefdom and the staff follows suit. Even though this is located well out of town, be prepared for a longish walk to the door. This probably won’t matter unless you really have a handicapped person with you; if you do, curse the otherwise excellent staff under your breath once you regain it after the hike.
