The best Greek food in Greenville! They have the necessary vertical rotisseries to properly cook gyro meat, and the best moussaka and spanokopita I have had in years.
Shame on them. Really wanted spanakopita for my birthday today. I drove an hour to get there. I have a disease that causes me to be very careful about certain foods, so I asked my server if this dish had onions, twice I was guaranteed it didn’t. As I left and started to eat, lo and behold full of onions. I called and got another server and ask him to verify about onions in this dish, he said no but he would check with the chef, came back on the phone and said no it didn’t. So I drove back and showed it to the manager, who even was trying to tell me as I’m showing him the onion that there were not onions in the spanakopita . What really chaps my hide besides eating onions can cause me extreme distress, he said he acted like he was doing me a favor by refunding my money. And didn’t even have the decency when I decided to order a dessert instead to offer it to me at a reduced rate or even free. And almost acted as if I was trying to tell a story. Because their food is decent, but obviously not fresh or they would know what was in it which to me means their prices are a little high as well. Definitely won’t be going back.04 May, 20145/2. Dined for first time. We were the second diners. I will say the calamari had a slightly fishy taste and the sauce was ice cold. My entree, the combo platter was dry and over cooked and my moussaka was missing the bechamel; but.. our other appetizers were wonderful especially the fried zucchini, which was very fresh and perfectly done, and while the entree Had its flaws, it was extremely flavorful. The the owners were warm and gracious in their greetings and our server was very polite and the service was quick and very professional if I were to give this stars it would be if 4, I realize sometimes when I’m early and then evening a chef may not be on their role and I will definitely be back again to enjoy the Greek town grill and would highly recommend it.
Great gyros!!. I was a little apprehensive about eating here after reading some of the reviews – but I am so glad I did!! By far the best gyro I have had while in Greenville. The meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly, and piled high. That, with the french fries, was plenty of food – so much that I couldn’t even finish mine. I will certainly recommend this restaurant to friends, great food!!
1st off food took forever to come out when we talk to Mike about it he was not concerned and said there was nothing to do. They do not clean there lettuce They used for salads. They say there gyro is fresh of the rotisserie but its not It’s dry and had zero flavor.
Awesome!! Very Authentic. Visited for the first time after passing going to work every day. Hate that I hadn’t stopped before. I Ordered my favorite, the Gyro, and it was great. As good as I’ve had since my visit to Greece. I asked for lettuce since it wasn’t on the menu with lettuce and that made it perfect! The price was good I thought. Only thing is maybe more fries, but there was an adequate amount (not 4 like I’ve seen in some posts…so maybe the read them and improved). The staff was more than willing to get more Tzatziki for us because we LOVED it! Happy hour prices were very good, and you were able to get that at the table, not just at the bar like many Greenville restaurants. I highlight suggest it to others and plan on going back!!! Ready to try the Mousaka, and that Baklava Cheesecake!
We loved our dinners the first and second times at the Greektown. The dessert was wonderful too! A Greek treasure.
We went in today and, while the restaurant was quiet, the ambiance was nice and the food is superb. I had a gyro sandwich with extra meat, and my wife had the chicken salad sandwich which rocked. We split the hummus appetizer, and it was the quintessential authentic Greek meal.Highly recommended!
