Celiac (gluten free). Today I ordered what I was told was Gluten free bread, which seemed to be, with muffalata spread and turkey, with the tortilla soup. All on the gluten free menu, be careful fellow GF pals…I have not left the bathroom 🙁
The service was great and the food was fresh and tasty. The ciabatta bread was awesome and the turkey was good. I am not a fan of turkey, but this was a good sandwich.
Is There Anything Negative About Jason’s?. No, not really. Well, during their lunch rush they could definitely use some more people to bus the tables or get them done quicker because there is often a lack of an empty (clean) table ready for the next patron to sit down at. But the lunch rush is just a sign of Jason’s popularity. This kind of lends into the thought that if they had the space to expand, they really should — or if they could get a bigger place, that might help… But their location really is great and convenient so that’s kind of a Catch-22. The menu has so much on it that you can’t really complain about it. It’s so much better than the other sandwich shops around. The prices are very reasonable considering the amount of food you get (and quality), unlike, say, *ahem* Panera. The salad bar is always fresh, clean and refilled quickly. The food is usually out to your table quickly. And one thing my wife and I like about Jason’s is the fact they have really good kids menu. It’s a great place to get a very healthy, filling, quick and rather inexpensive meal.
Erwin. I love Jason’s deli.The salad bar is what draws me in.But I find it a bit on the high side.Tea and salad bar is going to eat up a $10.00 bill….However, Jason’s gives you a high quality salad bar and YEAR ROUND has sweet, ripe grape/cherry tomatoes for your salad…good low calorie dressing…and good stuff to put on your salad plates.If you are inclined to make your salad high calorie, you may be disappointed.Jason’s is a healthy salad bar and that does not mean that it lacks taste! Good soup too,. I could eat at Jason’s every week if there was one in Travelers Rest.
When I was in college, this was my daily lunch place. Who doesn’t love a healthy salad?! Their salad bar has the best variety. The pumpkin cheddar flatbreads with a little hummus are a great pick. Their little gingerbread muffins are tasty. Some of the soups are tasty if you want soup and a salad. The flavored iced teas are refreshing and nice.I will say, I am not a fan of any of their sandwiches. I have tried many over the last 5 years and just have given up. The meat is WAY over salted, I need a liter of water to recover. Also, they really need to change the frozen yogurt machine. The mix they use tastes like chemicals. Just go for the salad bar!
DELICIOUS!!!. I had the low fat turkey sandwich with broccoli and cheese soup and fruit and it was all delicious! The fruit was fresh, the sandwich was delcious, and the soup was top notch!!!
Excellent Food!. This is one place where I don’t have to ask any questions about what’s in the food. I know that their won’t be any high-fructose corn syrup or hydrogenated oils in the food at Jason’s Deli. The sandwiches are fantastic, the soups are delicious, and the tea is perfectly brewed. The salad bar is unbelievable, and many of the items are organic. The staff is very friendly, the service is excellent, and the price is right. You just can’t beat this place.
