Grumpy Old Man. My wife and I went in today for breakfast. There were no booths available so we sat down at the bar.The manager,( Grimpy Old Man ) came over and told us to move, that I was sitting in his seat.I told him we would move, move down to Tupelo Honey Cafe where we had a delightful breakfast.I will not go back to Mary Anns, what a dips–t !

Great place to eat, very professional staff, this restraunt is located at the most beautiful part of Greenville. You can enjoy a great lunch and take a stroll in beautiful Falls Park. Great atmosphere. One of my favorite restraints in Greenville.

Not a good thing!. I was recently at Mary’s for a meeting and while I found the food decent, the service good, and the menu sparse, the management left a lot to be deisred. An older man named Drew was talking so rudely to the staff and a customer that had an issue with the food that I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. He cursed twice and told the customers to leave if they didn’t like it. We will never have another meeting there and my nephew and his bride to be won’t be using them for the event we were planning. Totally unprofessional. I would say watch out if you are dealing with these people.

OMG – the Potato Salad!!!. I haven’t been here for quite sometime, but when the first nice weekend rolled around we headed downtown for a stroll. At 1:30 the wait for a patio table was still 30-40 minutes! We opted to sit inside and were seated in about 10 minutes. Service was fantastic – friendly and efficient (and we are NOT Southerners, btw) andthe food fantastic as well.My friend and I shared Fried Green Tomato/Goat Cheese Sandwich and the Crab Cake Sandwich, and our other friend got the Eggs Benedict. WOW, WOW, WOW!! But… the Bacon-Ranch Potato salad was indescribable – the best I have EVER had !I even got a side of it to go!! I wanted to go back this weekend but knew downtown was going to be packed again, SO I am making the 25 minute drive this week because I have got to have more of that potato salad! It it like none you have ever tasterd!!

Take your mother here.. The cutest, most quaint lunch spot for a taste of the South…with a great view.

Lovely Lite Lunch. Ate there yesterday and it was a gorgeous day out. I didn’t have reservations, but within 15 minutes we were seated out on the patio overlooking fall’s park. The staff were very attentive, even to my yankee husband. LOL! The pimento cheese appetizer was wonderful! My husband loved his BBQ quesadilla. I enjoyed my salad with herb roasted chicken. You gotta have the coconut pie… so fresh and sweet! Had a great visit as always!

Horrible Everything!. I took my mom and daughter there for Mother’s Day in 2009. It took so long to be seated, and we made reservations 2 months ahead of time. I have been to many restaurants in Greenville, and this was by far the WORST restaurant I have been to. The meat loaf that my husband and mom ordered was tasteless and dry. The amount of food that we got wasn’t enough for a mouse. My grand-daughter who was 2 years old, and could eat off the menu, was totally ignored by the waitress. Don’t be a yankee and go there because they won’t give you the time of day. They like southern people though! So let the rebels spend their money there! Yankees, don’t waste your time! There are too many nicer restaurants in Greenville, SC
