Very kid friendly. The resturant is where we used to get flight plans! Friendly resturant with good food at a good price. Kids like to watch the planes. They are also building a kids playground, complete with fuselage of a aircraft, big multi playground and garden. The outdoor eating area is fenced so is perfect for children. Great idea!
Nice Atmosphere and Great Food. Some friends told us about this place. GSP Airport doesn’t offer any decent views of planes taking off and landing, so they suggested we go to the downtown airport and eat at the Runway Cafe while there. We took our 15-month old daughter there for lunch on a recent weekday and had a great time. They have a good children’s menu, more than adequate for her and plus she loved the chicken nuggets and the sweet potato fries. We both had burgers, which were awesome – very good size and taste to them. The lunchtime atmosphere looked like it had a good mix of people and the decor is very aviation themed (obviously). It was cool to watch the planes come in and take off as we were eating; the cafe and its outdoor dining area offer great views of all the activity around the airport. Our daughter had a blast watching the planes. They’re building a playground beside the restaurant which will make it an even better place for families than it already is.
