We stopped in for lunch and this place although in downtown is on the edge and easy to access. We all loved out food and the chicken curry is fabulous. I will definitely stop in again and highly recommend this place. Excellent!
3/5 Stars. Definitely overwhelming and confusing when you first walk in. Is it two stores or one? Do I sit down and wait to have my order taken or go up to them? At first I thought it was my age and blonde hair (haha) but I wasn’t the only person who seemed confused there. However, with that said it was a pretty decent cup of joe. Nonetheless, wish I had taken mine to go like most others did. I was not a fan of the atmosphere — friendly but not extremely welcoming. (This was not on the barista’s part though VERY FRIENDLY GIRL. Maybe it’s just a rushed lunch time vibe?)Not my favorite coffee shop in Greenville but would be good for a quick trip to give in to a craving.I’d advise you to get your coffee to go. Havent tried their food but I heard a lady complimenting on the chicken salad?
Hidden coffee shop gem. I regret to say that I often forget about the Brew & Ewe.That said, I have only good things to say about them. It’s a quiet place that serves both food and drink. There is plenty available for non-coffee consumers as well. Staff always have your experience as their #1 priority–prompt, friendly service.Food: I’ve always gotten the curried chicken salad wrap. Do not pass this up, if you like a sweet chicken salad. It’s not spicy–it’s just delicious. Bagel with lox has been calling my name recently though, as have the intriguing homemade (and cheap!) desserts. Drink: I’m not the person to ask about coffee. I always get a chai, and I’ve always enjoyed it.My only wish is that they stayed open a bit later, as I’m a night owl. But they do stay open late for Peace Center events–I’ll have to be more aware of those and swing by then.
This is a great place: cozy, unpretentious , wholesome and–oh, yes–a source of good food and drink (though mostly coffee and smoothies). If you can find a parking place, dash in; if you can’t (and you probably won’t) park in the city garage on Rivers/Townes. It’s worth the few quarters to get here, especially on a grey day.
Love Love LOVE. I love coming here on cold or rainy days. Bright, cozy atmosphere, very inviting, and they have a loft lounge area. Best priced coffees downtown by far and vegan friendly too. Smoothies are a little toooo sweet though.
