It is cool that they use fresh healthy ingredients but the food doesn’t have good flavor and the service is slow. I’ve had the same experience every time I’ve been there. There are lot better places to go to get this type of food. Save your money

I go to this place every time I am in Greenville. I grew up eating authentic pho and this place is great! The pork spring rolls are good with the fish sauce and the pho is so good! I don’t know about that bad review written. I’m not a friend or family member and I’ve recommended this place to several of my friends. If you want authentic Vietnamese food this is the best place in the area!!!
Far Superior To The Competition. Another reviewer incorrectly stated that Mekongs signature dish is called Sriracha soup. Don’t order that because you won’t do anything but confuse the staff. Sriracha is the hot sauce on the table to add heat to the true star of the show at Mekong- big steamy bowls of Pho, the hyper flavored soups that are better here than any other place for 50 miles. Haven eaten here over a 100 times I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more. The crispy chicken wings with fish sauce and lime are highly addictive.
Not so sure about the bad review. We eat at Mekong quite often and are not family or friends with the owner. We have never received anything but friendly service, the chef even makes rounds through the restaurant to talk to and greet customers. The food has always been fresh and delicious, keep in mind this is authentic Vietnamese food, it takes time to prepare properly. This is not fast food. If you are new to Vietnamese food, which the review did not specify, you can’t blame the chef if you order and don’t like what you ordered. In our experience the food has always been true Vietnamese, what was supposed to be hot was hot, and what was supposed to be served cold was cold. I just have a hard time believing the bad awful review, don’t let one review turn you away from the best Vietnamese food in Greenville. By the way the #32 Pho is a good place to start for newbies to Vietnamese food.
Vegetarian choices!. We are new to the GV area–and no, we are not family or friends of the owners! We thought the food was excellent and the owners were very accommodating. Although there weren’t any vegetarian choices on the menu, they are available, so just ask. Both the veg. and the non-veg. meals were delicious!
