Had a very good experience. Yes I know its a chain and yes I know the calorie counts are thru the roof but for taste and service, this location was great. I went in around 6 pm and was seated immediately. The server offered me drink specials, I asked for a mango margarita on the rocks. Immediately came out a big basket of chips (very tasty and crispy) and some salsa with just the right amount of spice. The pick two menu is great – I had a bowl of chicken tortilla soup and a soft chicken taco, both were very flavorful. Huge amounts of mexican rice and black beans were offered on the side. Overall a great experience.
There is no pride in what comes OUT the kitchen, I was hella disappointed. Jalapeos come out with seeds in them, all of the dishes were cooked in old grease leading to dark over cooked food & the drinks were 80/20 mixer/alcohol making them nearly unbearable. Won’t be back!
I would not recommend this place of good service is what you want. The food is good, don’t get me wrong, but the service is absolutely horrible. We waited 20 minutes just to get drinks and then our server never checked up on us. I usually would blow this off as just one servers fault but this is the THIRD time I’ve had bad service here. I definitely won’t be back.
For a chain this is a good place to eat. Good food and drinks. Love the salsa!
I rarely comment on these types of restaurants because I rarely eat at them. This chain location was one of the only available to me today and I was pleasantly surprised. All the appetizers came hot and fresh tasting and the tacos were better than I would expect from a chain (especially the brisket). I say good job by the management, I doubt the other locations of this brand are nearly as good.
Best Salsa!. The salsa at OTB is the best in town! The food is fresh and delicious. The service is great and so are the margaritas!
Always Fresh!. I LOVE On The Border! There food is always made fresh & it’s so good. I love their prices as well. I always get the $6.99 create your own combo. Great deal!
