Never eaten the hibachi here, but I am always pleased with their sushi. It is reasonably priced, always fresh, with the rice cooked properly. Worth it. Especially for the lunch deals.

This place is horrible! The service is horrible. We were constantly waiting on our server the entire time. The menu is terrible and not clear. Above all the food is very expensive… Save your money and eat somewhere else.

HORRIBLE FOOD. Had a Living Social deal that was about to expire, so went in tonight with a friend to have dinner. The place was dead and after I ate the food I am wondering if all their patrons had died from eating there? Our (Catherine) server was excellent she went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience at Sakura. Unfortunately she had no control over the quality or quantity of the food. I ordered the calamari appetizer and the Tuna Tartar for my meal after I found out the sashimi was sold by the piece and not 2-3 like most other sushi places. The calamari came on a huge plate with a grand total of 9 pieces of calamari on the plate which figures out to be about $1 a piece. The next item I received was the Tuna Tartar and it looked like dog food, the tuna was ground into the consistency of mashed potatoes instead f being finely chopped and it tasted worse than it looked. I couldn’t eat it. The server got me something else when she saw I was not eating my food. STAY AWAY!!!

The Hibachi dinners are wonderful; and the cooks are fabulous! The only problem I have with these folks is the price of their appetizers. We had the shrimp tempura last night — it cost $6 and there were TWO shrimp, one piece each of 2 different veggies, and 2 pieces of onion. My husband’s martini cost $3 and he enjoyed it a lot more.

Great Service!. My husband and I went to Sakura today around 4:30 for an early supper because we purchased a Groupon. We had such a great experience I felt the need to come and write a review as soon as we got home. The service was amazing- Waitress refilled our water regularly and checked on us very often. IF YOU ARE SITTING ON THE HIBACHI SIDE- ask for Jackson! He was an awesome cook- hilarious and super nice. We will be asking for him every time we return.

Good rolls, but I wanted good sushi. We had a $15 livIng social coupon for sushi. Half the place is individual tables, sushi bar and alcohol bar. the other side is a Japanese Hibachi grill.6pcs sashimi chefs choice $83 avg size rolls $10Parking is ample, service was good even tho they were short handed. The restaurant side has about 10 tables and 6-8 seats at each bar. Sakura has good atmosphere (no more than what you’d expect in a strip mall). The Sushi is well above average with some very good rolls, like the Greenville and Tempura rolls, but nothing else really special so far. I’ll be back and try a different approach.- edit – I have been back, same great service. same mediocre sushi/sashimi. But I Have found several rolls that are very tasty, definitly worth the trip! Read the specials upon entering. If you don’t have a Groupon type coupon, the specials are the way to get a bargain on good rolls.

When we entered we told the hostess we had a Living Social discount. She failed to tell the waitress. When we tried to pay, they added $6 to our bill to remove happy hour pricing. We are great sushi fans and would have been repeat customers but not now. How was the food? It doesn’t matter…
