Disappointed. Poor service , unattentive, overpriced for service and quality of food. Very bland flounder and lobster nachos . Will not go back !!
I got the diver scallops with risotto. Think white on rice. Scallops were over cooked and bland. Risotto was undercooked. And really heavy.
wow !! overpriced and bad lunch!. My friend and I went for lunch and had a chicken salad and the lobster Bisque. There was no green in the salad all white Romain lettuce, he had one choice for a dressing,horseradish based, he could not finish it. NO Bread!I had the Bisque( $12.00) no lobster nothing just cornstarch and a hint of sherry? it tasted like cornstarch for the most part. I did not finish it.NO BreadA margarita, a glass of wine, Bad salad,Bad Bisque. $42.00. Go waste your money and as for the best view in SC per there website. Right!
Marcia and John. What a wonderful evening with great friends and great food! My appetizer was calamari with 2 sauces, wasabi and ?? WONDERFUL!!!! No tentacles, lightly dusted,fried and meaty. Our friends had salads and cleaned their plates! My entree was scallops – 4 BIG scallops. Would i get it again??? YESSSSSSS!! My husband ordered flounder, I had one bite, and ….UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Our friends had swordfish and mahi mahi and LOVED it! Great desserts – cheesecake and key lime pie Service – Abby was our server. Wish she had come back to freshen up our coffee, but we’ll ask for her to serve us next time we go! She was very informative about the dishes! Great personality, too!Thank you Ela’s and Abby!!!
Passed Every Test. It is located on the 2nd & 3rd floors overlooking the Shelter Cove Marina. It is nicely decorated. The outside dining area was very nice for our drinks and appetizers (focaccia with gorgonzola and lobster nachos). I was unsure about which wine and our wonderful server Abby offered me tastes of several to help me decide.Dinner inside was wonderful as we looked out on the lights of the marina and listened to the light music fare of Tim Malchak (we even bought a CD). Abby came through dinner with flying colors. I had one of the specials of the night ; paella which was as good as I’ve ever had; even from a Spanish Chef. My fellow diners were gently guided by Abby to a swordfish and flounder dishes which were delicious and perfectly cooked. The beef ribs were also good but you have to be ready for a hearty meal. Three of us took some home so we could have room for desert; key lime pie, warm pecan pie, and a chocolate mouse. I ate some of all 3. The pastry chef is on par with the executive chef.
Fabulous!. This was our first visit to Hilton Head and Ela’s and we were quite please with everything. The service was great, the view of the Marina was spectacular, and the food was amazing. The pear/arugula salad was lightly dressed and the arugula was nice and fresh. We had no complaints about anything. A must for anyone who enjoys dining at it’s best.
