Great Service and Wonderful Food ! We tried the chicken salad and King of Club both were the best we have ever had ! Also the soup special , potato leek soup, was delicious. We will return ! Looks like a lot of locals go there. Would highly recommend.
My wife and spent seven weeks on HH Island over the 2016 Winter and ate several times at Frankie Bones.The food was wonderful but our service every time by Carr was tops. Update 2017: Reduced rating to 2.5Our waitress Lauren was very attentive. The outdoor dining was pleasant. My husband’s pumpkin soup with Crme frache and pumpkin seeds was good. After that, things went downhill fast and hence my updated rating. My husband’s drinks were expensive and watered down. The warm bread was iffy. One serving was gummy, the next was ok. We both ordered one of Frankie’s favorites – marinated hanger steak with French fries ($19.95). The house salad was so drenched in dressing that it was difficult to finish. The steak had good texture but no flavor and the portion was small especially since the only accompaniment was French fries. And the fries were awful – fried to a deep brown (almost burnt) but yet soggy like they weren’t fresh or maybe microwaved. We spent $73 and left hungry. October 2015: Rating 4.0Dark but cozy atmosphere. Good acoustics. Outdoor seating if weather permits. I had the early bird pork schnitzel with an espagnole sauce – very good. My husband had the North Carolina trout. He ate every bit. He also ordered a side of ribs which he said were excellent. Will come back.
The food and atmosphere was great! Large menu to choose from. Our waitress was not so great. She looked super annoyed, never smiled, and was very short with us.
Italian mixed with contemporary American Fare. I had a bite of Steak that was seasoned perfectly but almost kept all my trout to myself because I didn’t want to share. Great wine list but they were out of the bottle I tried to order. I wish they had more chocolate dessert options -that’s my weakness so I didn’t get one.
Our favorite restaurant!! The lobster mac and cheese is to die for and my husband said his steak is the best he has had. The chicken strips as an appetizer were delish! Wonderful atmosphere and both times we have been we had EXCELLENTLY service. Our waiter was funny and fast even though he was super busy. Very accommodating to the kids at our table and made sure to get their milk/food out first to keep them occupied/happy! Don’t miss this place!!
Great atmosphere, food, and service. This is one of our favorites that we visit we we come to HHI! Definitely make a reservation to avoid a long wait!
