If you are looking for a great tavern to meet family and friends look no further. I visited Hickory Tavern for the first time to meet a fellow Marine Corps Brother that I had not seeing in twenty years. The experience at the Hickory Tavern was outstanding from the first moment I walked in till the moment I walked out. It should be noted I have traveled all over the world and all over the United States. I certainly know a great Tavern when I walk into one. Trust me I am very picky when it comes to meeting friends and family. I want everything to be perfect. The great thing is my fellow Marine Corps Brother had picked Hickory Tavern from his own experience from the night before. I ended up meeting him and two members of his family. We all had great appetizers and our entrée’s were perfect. I ordered the Hickory Tavern Burger and Fries were totally awesome. I ordered a Pint of Guinness. The first one was not poured properly. I informed the waitress could she make sure my second Pint of Guinness was poured properly. The waitress had informed her Manager. The Manager personally poured my pint and it was perfect. Kudos’ to both our waitress and manager for ensuring everything was perfect. Very fast service and everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome. As stated in the above I know a great Tavern and also I know my Pints of Guinness being originally from Dublin, Ireland. I certainly will be returning in the near future. I highly recommend Hickory Tavern if you have family and friends visiting. Great place to watch a game. Plenty of T.V.’s to watch your favorite sports team. A must visit when on Hilton Head Island or in Beaufort, Bluffton and Savannah. Hickory Tavern rates five stars and more. Really great to see an operation from Charlotte, North Carolina open on Hilton Head Island.
