We had the sushi, not the hibachi grill. Quality ranged from not great to average. The sushi bar had mindless TV playing behind the chefs…thumbs down…who goes to sushi to watch TV?? Overall service was poor, it was unclear who was running the place. We asked for plates from a guy and he seemed confused by the request, unsure what to do. We felt that given the expense, there are WAY better options on Hilton Head.
Hibachi grilled shrimp was good as well as the fried rice and soup. No wait for early lunch.
Wonderful! Hibachi was quite good service was good and the kitten and flaming scallop roll were too good! And very decently priced for sushi 🙂
Never going back here. The service was slow. They gave us our food one by one instead of all at once. By the time most of our party was done eating, other people did not get their food yet. They also charged us $20 extra. Horrible service.
Good sushi and teriyaki chicken.
Nice place, reasonably priced for Hibachi. Great sushi…was not that impressed with the service.
Great Sushi. This was our first time here. I visited 3 restaurants for asian food on this trip. Kurama had great sushi and the rollers were really friendly. I was disappointed in our waitress. We got there at 9 30 and they close at 10 so maybe she was busy trying to close. She walked up to the table and asked what we wanted and we had no menu. Then we could see our plate was up and she was not even in the room. When she served it, she was gone again before we could even ask for shrimp sauce. The rollers helped us out with that. My friend was from Japan and we both loved the Sushi, so I will try it again. The ambiance is ok, but not as impressive as the Asian Bristo. It seems a shame to have a great place and one waitress can ruin the night for you.
