Just Ok. We go here for the great sunset and food. This trip we had a mediocre waitress, a table that sloped about 2 inches, wind coming in through the wooden window frame and acceptable food. At their prices, the food, facility and service should be top shelf. It isn’t. It was a few years ago.
Seriously???. How in the world did other reviewers give this place 5 stars? I’ve eaten at many great restaurants all over the U.S., and this place was very disappointing. Food tasted like frozen seafood that was put in the microwave. If you think this she crap soup was amazing, then you haven’t eaten much she crab soup in your life. Our waiter was horrible.She crap soup – have had much, much betterSquash/lobster appetizer – was this frozen and re-heated?Grouper – absolutely disgusting. This is the first time I’ve ever sent a dish back and ordered something else – 1st time in my life. Every single person at our table said it was horrible – we’re from the beach, and know what seafood tastes like. I grew up waiting tables in many restaurants, so I have an appreciation for the industry. Duck – blah.Crawfish cakes – ehhWaitstaff was horrible – our server never asked if we would like another beer, another glass of wine, etc… My wife didn’t have silverware. You expect a lot more for the prices!!! I heard people complaining next to us also. Such a shame – it’s a 5 star view, with a ZERO star waitstaff & food.Take the advice of the locals leaving this reviews – spend your money elsewhere!!!

We chose the tasting menu which is an early bird special. We had a choice of appetizer, entree, and dessert. salad soup were good. The salmon was cooked to perfection and well presented. The Key Lime tort was delicious. My wife tried the Bevarian Creme and although good not quite as good as the tort. Our service was impeccable and we enjoyed the evening out immensely.
Terrific Christmas Dinner. Took my wife and 4 teenagers and loved every minute of it. I read many reviews before I went that referred to the food being so so and the service being bad. Our experience could not have been more different.The Old Fort Pub offers a terrific meal in a lovely atmosphere. Great service, great food. Not somewhere I would take a family of 6 every day, but for special occasions I would go back in a minute. I’ll be going back next Christmas.
Food nothing special but designed to make it seem so. Service arrogant and demeaning. Don’t be fooled by beautiful view. I’m a local and this is the most over rated restaurant on island.
