This is a BBQ restaurant with smoking wood stacked outside. This is the best way to judge a BBQ restaurant you have not visited before. The ribs, pulled pork and brisket we had was all good. Tasty cole slaw, smashed potatoes and fried okra. The service was excellent as well.
Called ahead – waitress said no wait. Showed up with 3 kids 15 minutes later and it took 45 minutes to be seated…..food was good, but bad service…..
Awesome place to eat service was fast,and great food. We will definitely go back our next visit to the island. waiter was very nice and respectful.
Hubby and I ate here and it was amazing. I was sold once I saw that they sold lemon pepper wings. Oh heaven! We had wings lemon pepper, J.Daniels grilled wings, buffalo, voodoo and one other one (hubby loves spice and I love flavor) we both were very happy. Hubby also had the double Jack chicken sandwich (I think that’s the name) he loved it! I tried their okra, Mac and cheese and baked beans. I love the okra and Mac and cheese however I wasn’t a fan of the beans hubby loves them though. I didn’t taste their house sauce but hubby said it was the biggest winner of the day! We will be back next time.
The wait is KILLER. No where to sit. Once you do get down to business, it’s very good BBQ. Thought we were going to die with cranky kids shoved under bar with super humid day. They kept doors open and it was not fun. But they had a lot of great food but you HAVE to go EARLY. Parking is limited too.
We went there on a Sunday at 5:45pm. The wait was an hour for 2 people but we found a spot at the outside bar right away. They had half price drinks and $5 apps. I think this is everyday from 5-7. We ordered the riblets and they were delicious, not to mention we could have filled up on apps because the portion was so big. We split the wing sampler off the menu. The wings were good. The Italian stallion were the best (garlic Parmesan with hot sauce). The only bad thing was service was very slow. Very friendly but not attentive.
Excellent customer service! Food was delicious…ribs were outstanding, burger was delicious, and pork sandwich was great! This will be a regular for us on future trips to Hilton Head.
