Beautiful entrance gets you excited. Not a lot of people so you think not a lot of people know about it, but I think that it’s not popular because it was gross food. We started out by having a waitress that was more attentive than needed. She started out by serving us with drinks and chips and salsa. The salsa was fantastic, very fresh. The chips were greasy. We ordered some queso and chorizo which was also very good, but they brought it out with these nasty deep fried chips that were even worse. Then, they charged me $10 for just the appetizer and another $6.50 for another basket of regular chips! What Mexican restaurant charges people for chips!? My boyfriend ordered a steak quesadilla, he liked it. He also ordered a side of beans and rice. The beans were disgusting. I kept trying to eat a bite of beans with other food to try to like it but they had a very unusual taste, almost as if they were trying to make the beans different than other restaurants to get people to like the different taste, but it was just the opposite for me. I ordered the chicken burrito and it was soaked in queso. They added way too much. Also, on the inside of the burrito was tomatoes and lettuce. They should’ve put this on the side. The portion was huge, I had to take most of it home and when I reheated it, the lettuce and tomato inside made the whole thing taste bad. I spent $65 on a dinner for 2 and would’ve much rather gone to fiesta fresh and spend $30.I wouldn’t recommend this place and I definitely won’t be going there again. Only positives: salsa and location.

Try the San Miguel’s Nachos they are great. Drinks were a little pricey, but what else would you expect on vacation. Had a great wait staff. Will definitely come back here when we return to Hilton Head Island.

We return here year after year because the food is good. The service, is not, however. It seems the waitresses are chosen for their looks, not their attentiveness. The atmosphere, including live music is great. Sit outside if you can.
