Great food and wine. Impressed with the quality and value!
Very disappointed. We vacation in HHI annually and had looked forward to eating again at Truffles. The location on Pope Rd appeared to be closed so we went to Sea Pines. We were seated immediately upon arrival but then sat for at least 5 minutes before anyone came by our table. The menu had changed considerably since last year but we had high hopes we might be able to get our favorite black bean burger and sweet potato fries. We asked the server who checked with the chef. No was the answer and we left, highly disappointed.
WILL NOT Give Customer what they NEED, or Want!. I tried to get steamed broccoli and steamed green beans with dinner, they only made the vegetables with Butter. I asked the server, if they could rinse the vegetables, she said NO. She said they had children with allergies, and they would not do that.. Trying to watch weight on vacation, and be good, Ha, not very customer service orientated…I had the coconut fish as an appetizer and it tasted like frozen fish, not fresh! The salad dressing they offered honey mustard with a ceasar salad, that did not really go well together.I cannot believe on HHI, that the food caliber is bad, were stuck eating high priced foods.. I should have stayed home and bought food from Publix, is how I felt.. We paid 60 dollars and did not enjoy the dinner at all.
Great environment, side salad was fresh and enormous, tomato soup was delightful, chipotle chicken was fantastic. Great service.
I come to the island usually twice, sometimes three times a year and I never, never leave without stopping by Truffles. Despite the wonderful places to eat here in HH, this has always been my favorite. They have Orange Spice iced tea (grounds can be purchased) that is outstanding. I always get the tomato basil soup (can’t be beat) in place of a side on the turkey club. We always finish with the Key Lime pie – which simply can’t be beat. The food is always superb and the service is always friendly and efficient. Don’t leave without stopping here! You won’t be sorry.
Very Bad Service. We picked Truffles based on all the positive reviews and the menu. That was our first mistake. Extremely slow, poor service and my meal was awful. I ordered the Mahi Mahi which was supposed to be dusted with Cajun seasonings and topped with mango salsa. What I received was a bland, over cooked tragedy. It wasn’t a total loss for me however..the mashed potatoes were very good. But for the price we paid a good pile of mashed potatoes doesn’t make up for the worst meal experience I’ve had in Hilton Head. For that money I expect outstanding quality and service.
A great place for an easy dinner. For a vegetarian the portobello sandwich was great. Easy everyday type of place with a menu for everyone.
