Music ruins the foor. We love the food at California Dreaming but will not go back because of policy to have music so loud. The music is so loud you cannot have a conversation at the table or hear the servers. When as if the music could be lowered we were told it was Corporate policy to have it that loud.
Some friends took us here on a Sunday afternoon. The food was very good. The she crab soup is excellent. I had the grilled salmon. It was perfectly cooked (too many places tend to overcook salmon). We will be back.
I enjoy their happy hour and sunset menu but get a table if you want to order off the early bird menu because they will ignore you at the bar. It’s as if the bartenders don’t want the early diners. Trust me I am a very good tipper and have even ordered bar drinks after happy hour ends and the bartenders are all nice then but ignore during 4 to 6.
Everything was super. Our waitress Allison was excellent.
SALADS!. They have the best salads and nachos! The menu for Carolina Roadhouse is the same. Both restaurants serve homemade dressings and sauces! My favorite is the Broiled Salmon Salad with Bleu Cheese dressing. Oh, and the honey croissant!
Great nachos – they are a meal on their own. Good value in the kids meals.
Start with the honey crecents and then choose whatever because it is all good!
