Scallops to die for… cooked just right!. Found this place driving north of Myrtle Beach… down a side road. Ate here twice. Took our friends back to taste their sweet scallops… delicious! Looks like a seaside place – nothing fancy, but fish & scallops were good – decent beer selection – would go back! (we did)
Had wonderful fish and chips and got it quick. Everyone in our party of seven did, and everyone enjoyed it. Warm atmosphere and cozy space made it great even in winter.
Great location but that’s where great ended. Started with their crab dip that lacked crab. The dinner salad was just so so and the bread looked good but lacked flavor. Then we had the special grouper. We had it blackened and it was just average. It was over cooked and under seasoned. The vegetables were good because they were swimming in butter. Won’t give it a second try.
Great food!!!
Great little spot. It’s a small place, so I’m sure a wait can build in the busy season. It’s worth it though. Good beer on tap, cute little bar area. Food is the main draw. Excellent seafood. Never had a bad dish here. On the most recent visit we had a combination of grouper, scallops, & shrimp. All so tasty. Salads are great, even the slaw is worth mentioning. Also, sweet potato fries are crispy & delicious. There’s nothing on the plate that isn’t yummy. To top it off, service is very friendly and knowledgeable. The owner and her son are very accommodating and were apologetic that we had to wait 10 minutes for a table, which isn’t a wait at all. A server saw me eyeing dishes while at the bar and explained what they were, the bartender volunteered info about the evening’s specials, as well as samples of beverages we inquired about. Always a favorite.
Lucky Find. Our party of 5 had planned to go to another river front restaurant. However, we found it closed since it was the off season (Nov 19). We were skeptical, but the sign said they were listed as a top restaurant on the Strand. From the outside, the place looks chancy. However, the food is another story altogether. The fried shrimp dinner was fabulous. Light breading, fried to crispy perfection with large tender shrimp inside that were also cooked to perfection. The grouper special with fresh veggies was also extremely tasty. One person ordered the chicken wings. They were wonderful and rather meaty. This was the last night of our short trip to North Myrtle Beach. Without a doubt, this was the best dinner we had during our stay. I am not usually a fried shrimp fan, but Fibbers fried shrimp was simply the best I have had in decades. We will definitely return.
After getting past a reservation problem the service was excellent and the food tasty at a decent cost. Excellent happy hour
