The best cupcakes anywhere!!!
The shop itself was very cute and decorated nicely for a cupcake shop. I had seen them on cupcake wars, so I had high expectations of the cupcakes themselves, which were not met. The frosting on the cupcakes, most of which were topped with vanilla, was very, very sweet and almost tasted artificial. The cake also did not balance out very well with everything. The graham cracker crust, on the s’mores and the banana cream pie cupcakes, was not sweet at all and was quite bland. The only noticeably good cupcake was the blueberry cupcake with orange frosting, which they one cupcake wars with. Overall, I was disappointed with the taste and would not come back again.
I have no idea what the last three reviewers are talking about. We are as we speak returning from our second visit to coccadotts in a week because we loved it so much the first time. To begin, we walked in and were very impressed with the vast amount of cupcake flavored to choose from. I don’t know what the previous reviewers were looking for but somehow I don’t see flavors such as champagne and strawberries, Guinness, and margarita to name afew as kid-like flavors. But that’s beyond the point. We bought a dozen the first time, including thier famous maple bacon cupcake. We have been to numerous cupcake bakeries all over the east coast and to say they are the best we’ve been to is an understatement. We found all of the flavors amazing, including the maple bacon. Afew of our other favorites are the razzle dazzle and sexy in the city. Now that I feel Ive corrected this huge injustice done to coccadots in reviews, I’m going to enjoy the dozen we just picked up. Thank you and I hope this was helpful.
Won’t be here long. Felt really ripped off super expensive but not even worth a couple bucks.Got a big selection of differnt cupacakes and cinamion roll and large cookies none of it was good.My kids usually eat anything but they even put them in the microwave to try and soften the icing then put in the trash anyway. Waste of money
The two previous reviews hit it straight on. Small, very sweet and not a home run for us.
I have to agree with the previous review. The cupcakes and icing taste as if they’re prepackaged. Additionally, they’re expensive ($2.50 each) but quite small. The only thing I can say positive for this establishment is that they do have an extensive variety of kitzchy flavors.
A bit on the sweet side…. So, someone I know brought some of these push pop cake things….a bit awkward to eat and very very sweet. The cake and icing taste as if they were just scooped out of a box or bucket. I was hoping for a much lighter and fresher approach. Its a cute concept, just not to my liking. Its a cute novelty idea.
