Good burgers. We’ve been hearing about how much we needed to go check out Hamburger Joes. Mostly we heard they were pretty cheap for beach, and had great burgers. Today was the day that we stopped in to try. There are two locations, we hit the Surfside location, which I guess is the second. The original is in North Myrtle Beach. This was a lunch date with the wife and I and we both got a cheeseburger, and split an order of fries.I have to say the burger was pretty good, not the best burger I have ever ate by any means, but it was good. We decided that we would be back, to try the BBQ because it really smelled good.The prices, for the beach were pretty inexpensive, and reasonable, but you have to remember that it’s all, ala carte, so a cheese burger, fries and a drink is going to run you under $8 without a tip, which is still pretty good all things considered. I’ve already said that I’m going to be going back, but would I drive say 50 miles for it. No, I probably wouldn’t, but if I was going to be in town for a couple days, I’m sure I would stop by for lunch. If you haven’t been, try it. It’s a great place to take the family for a good, cheap meal while at the beach, plus they have cheap beer.
