I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. We drove all the way from Oklahoma for seafood and it was just sad. We asked to speak with the manager who was not at the restaurant. His sister said I was being disrespectful. The purpose was not to be disrespectful, we just thought they would want to be aware that the cooks had mixed up several foods, overcooked some fish, and the hush puppies were Raw in the middle. We didn’t want our food free. We wanted them to be aware of the problem so they could fix it and make it better. The manager actually began fighting verbally with my husband, sister in law and she had a baby. He did this for 10 minutes inside the restaurant and then followed us into the parking lot to continue yelling at us after we paid. They begged us not to write this review and offered free buffets. We didn’t want free food, the money was not the issue. The one bright side, our server did everything she could and was awesome.

Horrible! Horrible food (if you can call it ‘food’)!. The ice cream was the only thing not over cooked, loaded with salt or garlic! The crab was boiled instead of steamed making it too difficult to get to the meat. The ribs were so over cooked you need a razor knife to cut them. The only good comment is the staff are super sweet.

If you value quantity over quality and taste, this is the place for you!. I should have checked the ratings before going but got suckered in by hunger pangs and a $5 off coupon. The food was absolutely horrible! The dry, tasteless crab legs were a first for me. No amount of butter could have moistened them. The rest of the food was either lukewarm or outright cold and pretty tasteless. The best part of my meal was the iced tea. Wasted $35 on that crap! Concierge at hotel later told us that all of the buffets in the area were bad, and she recommended several excellent restaurants in the area.

This Place is HORRIBLE. The King Crab which in in the building that looks like a country house it absolutely the WORST food I have ever eaten! It is worse that pig food! The carrots were hard, the corn tasted like it was rotten, the fried okra, was so bad that my kids could not sallow it! The seafood they had on the bar was rubbery! I have never eaten at such a worse place. I then had an oyster that was raw and called it quits! It is sad when you pay $17.50 for a buffet and the best thing is the ice cream! There were so many tables there that were also complaining about the food. I spoke to several people there that said they food was horrible. I complained to the manager and he said it was their off season and the place was full. It was probably full of first time people like me that will never go back! This place will not make it long. Word will get out! I wouldn’t go back and eat for free if they gave my entire family a meal. I complained to the manager and he told me that it was ran by the same people as Captain Bennett’s. Who knows? DO NOT EAT HERE. I sat on the porch and told people that were coming in, not to eat there because is was horrible and then the manager came out and told me I had to leave. SO this is my warning!

Went here tonight (9/7/13) and after reading all the negative reviews, I was very impressed. No it’s not a 120-200 item seafood buffet, but they had several types of good broiled/fried fish, oysters, scallops, clams, etc. At a price of 2 for $35, I was pleased with the experience. Kind wait staff as well.

You can thank me latter. I ate here so you would not have to. Yes, I’m talking to you, the guy reading these negative reviews and thinking it can’t be that bad, just so you can get a good deal on your buffet (2 for $35). I like seafood & country buffets, but unfortunately my go to place in myrtle beach closed down this year (Southern Suppers). So now I’m looking for its replacement, and this not it. 98% of the food here has no flavor. Also you have to listen to what sounds like kids running back and forth upstairs during your meal.Definitely skip this place, or you will regret it.
