Old steamed rice ….. This restaurant seems pretty clean compare to other Asian restaurants in the town and their foods look delicious too.I have tried 6 different menus from them and only thing tasted right (good) was sesame chicken. Some of their foods are extremely salty and it smelled like lotion from their salad dressing!! They usually serves Miso soup (Japanese style soy bean paste soup) but when I went there last time they gave me a different one which tasted like a box of MSG!! I assume it’s made out of chicken stock from grocery shelf with thinly sliced mushroom. Tasted really bad …. Plus …. If you are going there for lunch, be sure not to order steamed rice because they will give you stinky steamed rice left over from the previous night. Never order steamed rice for lunch!! I’ve been there three times at lunch time and been always ordered steamed rice but they were hardened and yellow and stink.Overall is …. their food don’t taste right and they are pricey!!

The restaurant is clean and inviting and staff is extremely friendly. My husband and I traveled here from Camden (about 30 minute drive) and it was absolutely worth it! We had veg tempura, 3 rolls each and a dessert and we paid close to 40 dollars which is very cheep for the quality of the food and service we received. Definitely new favorite !!

This is one of Lancaster’s best kept secrets. Stopped here for dinner for the first time tonight. Extremely good sushi, the best General Tso chicken I’ve had anywhere in the Charlotte and surrounding area. The prices are very reasonable for the quality. I saw some google reviewer claim they’re expensive for the area and want coupons, I say don’t be a cheapskate, $10.95 is perfectly reasonable for a large entree and their sushi is far less expensive than many places that don’t have their quality. This will become one of my best go to spots when I’m in town.

This is one of the best places to eat in Lancaster. The staff is super friendly. The food is great. Most asian eateries the batter on the food is mushy. Akina the batter is crisp and the flavor is great.

We loved it. The offer Teppanyaki, habatchi, and sushi. Very good food. This location has seen several different types of cuisine. We really hope this one lasts the test of time.

Best Restaurant in Lancaster. The current site has been the home to numerous restaurants over the past five years. Akina is a winner. The food is fresh, well prepared, and the staff almost over-friendly. I’ve dined there at least a dozen times and the food is consistent and with nice portions. The Miso soup and seaweed salad are winners. I also suggest the Tofu and Mushrooms, the best item on their menu, in my opinion.
