Continuation of disappointed, sadly. Im pretty sure it had standard pepper jack cheese on it, with pickled Jalapenos out of a jar, the 1/4 puound burger was cooked on a flat top griddle with no seasoning and it was put between a standard hamburger bun that probably came from BILO. PRICETAG-$13. I don’t mind paying for good food, but by no stretch of one’s imagination, was it worth anywhere near that price. Private Property -Ill probably give you one or two more trys in the next couple months, hoping that it gets better, because I really do want you to succeed, but it’s not going you happen, going like you are now.08 Sep, 2014Sadly, disappointed. As a person that has ties to New Orleans, I really, really want to love this place, and hope that this is taken as constructive criticism, because as it is now, private property will not last. Cajun/Creole food is a niche that could be very successful as we don’t have anywhere that serves authentic food in Columbia, that I am aware of. I’ve been here 3 times, and wasn’t impressed any of them. I had the gator burger the first time which was ok, but nothing to write home about. the second time, I had the Jumbalaya, which honestly wasn’t very good, and was luke warm at best. Today, i had the Voodoo burger that supposedly had ghost pepper jack cheese on it. It wad ok, but not spicy,

Nice Po’Boy. My son and I have been here twice. Interesting place, it appears to be set up as a private function facility with being a restaurant as a secondary occupation. They seem to pull it off though. It’s in an old house so it gives off a lot of charm. The menu is fairly limited, but the food is very good. The first time we dined here, we split some fried oysters, and this time had the shrimp po’boy. Great bread! What really impressed me was the fry. I rarely eat fried foods because so many places to it so poorly. Private Property has someone on the fryer who knows what they are doing. Again, somewhat limited menu, which is why my son and I have been here, but not the girls.

Great addition to Lexington. Private Property is a fairly new edition to the Lexington restaurant scene. The restaurant is located in an huge historic home on main st.Do not look for a sign because there is not one at the moment but it is currently in the works according to the owner(the restaurant is directly across the street from bank of america)The lady running the place stopped by my table to chat for several minutes while my order was being prepared, very nice lady.I ordered the shrimp sliders and hand cut fries, the sliders were simple, soft bun with large shrimps and remoulade sauce..but out of this world tasty!!!I could eat here 7 days a week. Not alot of choices on the menu but what they do offer is very good..The couple next to me were having the seafood jambalaya and it looked fantastic,I shall try it on my next visit.

I totally disagree with Lee P. I’m from New Orleans Louisiana and this is real deal Cajuns food. I eat here three times a week. The owners are from new orleans louisiana and know Excactly what there are doing. Lee why don’t you go talk with one of the owners and let them show you that they don’t use CAN goods when they cook. And the fact you are slamming the Wilson’s like you do you seem like the whimp behind a laptop. Your lame review will not stop me and my family and thousands more that had such a great experience at Private Property ruin our brand new spot for fantastic authentic new orleans food and great service. Thank you Private Property for coming to Lexington. Lee P. You have no class.

An absolutely must try! Lexington has never seen this cajun creole style of food before, and trust me, they deliver on taste and quality. This service is excellent, make you feel like family and the food is delicious. I can’t say enough good things about Private Property.
