Horrible. will not go back. I will not be going back to Sumo. The wait staff herd you in like cattle. When we asked not to be seated on the little flip down counter we were told that we had to sit there. I grabbed my wife and we left. If I’m spending 50 bucks on a meal I should have a say in where I sit. We went to another restaurant. First impressions mean repeat business guys. You failed!
All soy. The service was great. However, thefood was bad, very salty to be exact. All I can taste in the stir fry hibachi plate of fried rice and veggies was salt. Just the salt from the soy sauce. The cook wasn’t much of a show. He missed his spatulas spins 3 times in a row. That’s all the show. I had to ask to not have any sauce on my steak to taste it. None of the cooks are Japanese and seemed inexperienced. I don’t ewant to go back and don’t recommend it for anyone with good taste. The only saving grace was the soup.21 Sep, 2014Soup. It was brother with mushroom pieces and scallions as garnish. It was the only good dish on the table.

10% tip for take-out?. Ordered individual fried rice, zucchini & onions and a side order of teriyaki chicken. Added a couple of extra sauces and the total came to $14.12. Food was very good. My issue is being charged an automatic 10% tip for picking up food and not being told about it. I would not have known the tip was automatic if I had not seen it written on the white board as you walk in. When presented the bill, tip is not itemized, I had to ask and the young lady sheepishly said yes.Is it the norm to automatically add a tip for take-out?
