A real disappointment for our Christmas Eve dinner–have been here numerous times before and have always had good experiences–however, tonight was a letdown–main course took about 45 minutes to arrive and two of our six meals were stone cold–waiter apologized (weakly) and nuked the plates–offered us one dessert (again, pretty lamely) which was slice of box cake (still cold)–never saw a manager or had an actual explanation for the delay or the cold mealsI’ve worked in food service–tonight was inexcusable and at the very least a manager should have had some face time–will likely rethink returning in the future
Over priced for olive garden quality. It’s a nice looking place. The service was great and very accommodating to 3 children in a party of 7. The food just isn’t very good. This was my third time coming here and will be my last. For the money, there are much better options in Columbia. BTW, the place was packed on a Wednesday night! Makes me wonder why someone doesn’t open a real restaurant in Lexington? They would do great.
Live music and pasta!. A very nice atmosphere leaning toward romantic with the lighting, intimate colors and table arrangement. Live jazz on Thursday nights and a separate bar/eating area offers choices. They also have a private room for business meetings or large parties. A great wine list and beer selection. Vegans and Vegetarians need not fear, a conversation with the wait staff and the cook will whip you up the most delicious meal- no problem. The service was just wonderful, we had one of the best waitresses in a long time. Caution: The only thing that ruins it would be folks thinking this is a good place to bring your infants and toddlers. Travinia will accommodate them but patrons will give them dirty looks which they deserve if their kids are not quiet and well behaved, which most are too young and the physical space here is not conducive for highchairs etc. Travinia is a bit too pricey to have to put up kids/babies screams, whines, or crying and no wants to watch messy kids cramming food all over their faces. There are plenty of other pizza, burger, sub and sandwich joints within a mile of this more suitable for families. One of the best things is that you will not to wait long, if at all here and they do have outside dining.
Very average food and over priced for the quality. Many other better places in the area to choose from!
Horrible. This place went from fairly good when it opened to a marginal place. The food is boring and the service has a lot to be desired. Nothing we had the last few times we have eaten there was particularly good. Carrabba’s or Macaroni Grill are better options than Travinia’s and a better bargain. I stopped eating here because the service and the food are marginal at best. When the bread is the best thing on the menu it’s time to move on. . . . . .
My favorite pasta and bread in town. Only gripe is when we have lax service. Lazy servers make it a poor experience when we love to eat there.
Be careful how you order or you’ll be stopping by McDonalds on the way home. That said beer is reasonably priced. Atmosphere is great.
