Red snapper or oysters at a Mexican Restaurant!. Here in Columbia a non-Tex Mex Mexican Restaurant to enjoy, and a seafood one at that. In the evenings they have had Mariachi Band that went from table to table. I keep reminding people that Mexico has two coastlines, and it stands to reason that Mexican restaurants should have more seafood on the menu, but people look at me in disbelief. Well now, they can have some really good talapia, catfish, shrimp, and other goodies from the ocean. Go!
Finally a great restaurant in lexington. Wow this place is crazy good. be sure to ask for the hot salsa when you go. i have had a lunch special and fajitas both were amazing.
Genuine Mexican. Not Tex Mex, real Mexican cuisine! Starting with the excellent chips and salsa (green had a kick) , entree fish with terrific sauce, fresh cooked vegetables and very good rice. Haven’t had this good an authentic Mexican meal since I left Chicago.
Mexican seafood. What’s not to love. The only Mexican in Columbia that compares is Cecelia’s. Ask for the green sauce with your chips.
Just discovered this place!. You know, when you’re in Mexico, you find awesome, fresh seafood dishes everywhere you go. But Mexican restaurants around here? No chance. But, now I’ve found 7 Mares, which offers traditional Mexican fare but features seafood dishes, like you find in Mexico. I chose the shrimp chili relleno…huge Poblano pepper busting with shrimp, topped with fresh, light, spicy tomato sauce. Wonderful. Can’t wait to go back again and again to try more!
