I wanted to describe this place in one word…Yum…but it made me add more lol.. great food. Nice atmosphere. Great service. The Prime rib sandwich is awesome.
All we did was grab some drinks from the bar and sit outside, but it was a pretty painless experience. Very full, but like I said before, you can take your drinks outside. Maybe next time we’ll eat there.
British Bulldog is Columbia’s crown jewel for an authentic UK experience. Football fans gather for matches to cheer on favorite teams over generous portions of fish and chips. A large selection of classic libations and seasonal brews makes choosing a challenge. For almost 7 years, Bulldog has been tucked away off Bower Pkwy, not so silently, depending on the live music or how well Manchester United is playing. British Bulldog has received national recognition as the #1 UK Pub/Restaurant. They have surpassed perennial winners in the college district and raised the bar (pun intended), for the Royal Standard.
I don’t know how this place has a 3.9The food is abysmal.Had the Beef and Guinness Pie… which turned out to be watery soup with beef and a pastry puff on top.
Awesome Pub with a great soccer fan base! Stopped in here while on a road trip to catch the USA Womens Soccer game vs Germany. Place was packed, which I took as a good sign. Many were soccer fans but just as many were just there for beers and good food. We were able to grab an outside picnic table facing a tv. Even w a large crowd, they were prepared and service was Beyond Excellent. My Guinness was always full and our appetizer, entrees and dessert all came out in a timely manner. The hot wings and great and HOT. Careful. I had the Cottage Pie. Warm, beefy and covered in cheese. Hubbie had the pub burger and fries and he cleaned his plate which I take as a good sign. If youre in the area, like pub grub, soccer or beer (they have over 30) then be sure to stop here!
Great beer choices. They carry much more than Bud Light! Good food – I usually get the fish. Fun atmosphere. Good place to watch a game or go for a date, though it can get a little noisy.
Recent Weekend Visit. I recently went here with a group of friends for dinner – I’d only had the late night menu before, and it was pretty good. Our server was excellent. I ordered the chicken curry – I was expecting cut up pieces of chicken in a curry-based sauce, but they served it as an entire chicken breast which was tough and hard to cut with a knife. They added large pieces of chopped veggies which did not add to the flavor of the sauce. My rice and pita bread were cold, and the steamed veggies still tasted pretty raw. I did enjoy the cucumber-onion salad at the end of the meal to balance the spiciness of the dish. All in all, not too impressed, and I will probably stick with my favorite Indian restaurant for this dish!
