Nice looking place on the inside. Not the best sushi I’ve ever had, but not the worst either. It was all pretty good, standard food with a decent variety. Good service, sat at bar, place was kinda empty.

Disappointing; poor value. We went to Tsunami because we had an off-days (Sun-Thurs) Groupon languishing that we needed to use.The interior decor looked ok, but we opted to eat out on the patio. The patio tables are not well-kept. One had a packed ashtray on it, another had debris from a previous diner and all of them needed a wipedown. Also worth noting is that the outdoor tables have not been maintained well. All of them were exhibiting rusting on the table surface. Some had bubbled paint, some had paint missing. The food was mediocre at best. $5.49 for a nothing-special garden salad with ginger dressing that is probably $2.49 at other comparable establishments. The one roll (Firecracker) I ordered looked close to the picture, but the flavors present were flat and unappealing. The interior was saturated, and not in a good way. I didn’t finish that one. The chirashi bowl was passable. It wasn’t bad, wasn’t great either. Some of the fish was old, some less so.My girlfriend had the sashimi platter and didn’t even make it halfway through her plate. The fish was old. The flavor was faded and the texture was too dry for all the pieces of fish. The roll pieces were sub-par even for what you’d normally get in that sort of entree at a Japanese restaurant. The service wasn’t bad, but our server should have been a little more attentive.Overall it seems like this place is a has-been restaurant. Apparently it used to have better food and service, but not anymore. The groupon made paying the bill a bit less painful since I sure didn’t feel like the prices were appropriate for the quality of the experience.

Better choices abound. Went there with a couple of friends to drink some beer and have some Sushi. What-no draft beer? The domestics were $2-very good. The menu and specials were very confusing. The Special two for ones are all double the price of the regular rolls. When I confronted the server that the regular rolls appeared to be better, she agreed and helped with our selection. Service was good. Sushi was fair, at best.
