Truly Italian. Great service and recipes direct from the Veneto. The most authentic Italian place in Charleston. It’s so Italian Michael even closes for three weeks in August or September, just like in Italy. The lasagna is spectacular.
Small portions for price, Service was terrible. Based on other reviews Ive read, maybe an off night
Wish We Lived Closer!. Our smart foodie friends in New Jersey had discovered Bacco on a trip to Charleston and told us to be sure to visit when we were in the area. We did, and are so glad. Our service from Rebecca was impeccable and the food she served us was some of the best we had on our Charleston trip. Chef Michael Scognamiglio is a master. The squid, antipasto, and salads were an amazing beginning to an overall fabulous meal. Every pasta dish was flavorful and delicious. We shared the cannolis and panettone bread pudding (who knew how delicious that could be?) Despite having had several courses, we ate every last bite of the desserts. It was an excellent dining and we will recommend Bacco to our friends in the Charleston area, and to friends closer to our home.
Excellent food and service. Sardines were amazing!
From GREAT to AWESOME!. Having been to Bacco many times over the years, finally they’ve added the missing touch-an awesome bartender/front man, named Tomaso (as I heard him referred to by greeter Luigi on my recent visit). Dining at the bar is now a true pleasure. Professional and hospitable, Tomaso brings to Bacco the missing piece of the puzzle. On my last visit it was Negroni Week and Tomaso was more than eager to share his drink menu creations as well a spinning the tale of Count Negroni and his off and on presence at Bacco’s now often crowded bar. Do yourself a favor and have full dinner service e at the bar if you can get a seat. You wont be disappointed with your experience/
The best place in Charleston. Wow we needed a place to eat and being out of towners we stumbled upon this place. This was by far the best meal we have had in Charleston, I HIGHLY recommend this place…Thank you for a wonderful meal
Husband and I both ordered small plates of a basic fettuccini alfredo. We both maybe took two bites and stopped there. It was flavorless and dry. The bread was ice cold but the wine was good. Don’t waste your time or your money.
