First impression. My first impression was not made up at first.The hostesses seemed a little distracted due to so much going on. I was confused about the upstairs downstairs situation, but a hostess (blonde) was very friendly and changed my mind. The service was pretty good. Over all good first impression.
Wonderful lunch. This was our first visit to Basil and we were well-pleased. My husband had the pad thai while I had the chicken fried rice. The dishes were nicely plated and well prepared. It was a touch on the bland side, but nothing a little soy couldn’t fix, which was brought out ahead of the food. We had a window view, which was nice. The atmosphere and dcor has a special quality, adding to the enjoyment of our meal. Our waiter was also friendly and prompt. The only real negative was having to wait longer than expected while they prepared call-in orders ahead of ours. We’ll be back, however.
I absolutely LOOOVE this place!! The pan seared duck is one of my favorite dishes anywhere in Charleston!! Can’t speak highly enough of Basil!!
Top 5 restaurant in Mt Pleasant. This location may be a notch higher than their downtown location due to their bar upstairs and outdoor seating. Food is the same awesome quality. I believe they have the best Pad Thai dish in Charleston. However, if you order the Pad Thai as takeout, they give it to you in a much smaller plate than you would have when you dine in.
Green Curry w chicken was awesome w/ eggplant, red peppers! My husband had pad Thai. He said it was excellent!!
One of best restaurants in mount pleasant. Everything is extremely fresh and have never left disappointed. Attentive staff too.
