I’ve been here many times and the pizza is always hot and delicious. I love the thinner crust when I’m out for a slice and they keep their selections simple. The monthly specials, however, are certainly worthy of at least a once-a-month visit. Their drink selection is amazing and now even better since they added beer. Seems like a great spot for grabbing some decent food if you’re handing out at Shem late at night. I’m not shilling, I just really enjoy their pizza and don’t understand why more people aren’t going here. I’d love for a second or third location downtown and/or Summerville.
Impressively large pizza. We had such a fun visit to Benny Palmetto’s. We ordered a whole pizza just to be able to take one of their giant boxes home, since we had heard that a whole pie wouldn’t fit in the car but would have to travel in the trunk. This was true in our case! A whole pizza fed us for dinner at the restaurant and three leftover lunches! One slice per person is a very satisfying meal, if you can even eat the whole thing! We had a half and half with cheese and one of their monthly specials, which was garlic mushroom. It was delicious. What was really impressive about the Benny’s slice is that although it was the largest slice of pizza I’ve even eaten, the crust held up and it was actually possible to pick it up and hold it rather than give up and use a fork. Also, I loved the cheese. It wasn’t greasy and sliding off of the pizza. It was a blend of several yummy cheeses and stayed put on the pizza slice. The environment was kid friendly and we enjoyed their awesome drink selection. The only trouble I had was deciding what to get because they had so many of my favorites. I narrowed it down to root beer and still had nine varieties to choose from. We are looking forward to the next time!
