Great shrimp! This is one of our favorite places to visit if we’re near.
This place was a dump. Advertised as a family restaurant, but was clearly a locals bar. Everyone’s meal was average. Seems like a rip off of the Shrimp Shack we visited in Beaufort, SC. We hoped they were sister restaurants. They clearly are not!
Filthy!!! The bathrooms hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Dust up the walls, crap lining toliets, black guck over floors. Food was only so-so.
Had lunch on Independence Day. Our appetizer, Crab Dip, quite simply is nearly the best in Charleston. I had the Shrimp Basket- the shrimp were tossed in Jerk seasoning with sweet potato fries- scrumptious! My bride chose a Lime shrimp salad- fantastic!I doubt I would enjoy dinner here, since th place is for all intents and purposes a bar, but I strongly recommend lunch! Great food and great service in a funky lil’ shack and I’ve got to get back…

Charleston’s Best. Ready to be treated the way the locals love to be treated. Read a couple of negative reviews about running out of shrimp , and you just know these people come from a fast paced place and have not been there long enough to get it. When you sell the most and the freshest some days catch is better than others get there early. This coolest place in Charleston with a laid back atmosphere only found near the beach in SC, the food is incredible, alway fresh and cooked to order, and by far the Shrimp Shack with (Ronnie Johnson the owner and his guest provide the best entrainment in the Southeast. Get ready for a great day or night in your life, you can’t buy it only experience it. This is best Charleston has to offer so don’t miss this one!! Put it on your Bucket List
