Incredible Place. We received incredible service when we visited Gilligan’s in Mount Pleasant today. The food is exceptional!! I am a college student, and I eat out pretty frequently, so I know good food and good service, but the quality of this food and the exceptional service my mom, brother, and I received here today actually blew me away!!
Big disappointment. Both of the other Gilligan’s in the area serve consistently good seafood, but the Mt Pleasant shop should be stripped of its flag. Fried flounder had been frozen for years and the local shrimp may have been local somewhere but it sure wasn’t Charleston. Hated to waste a night out when there are so many good places to eat in the area.
I don’t think they know what fresh seafood is. In fact, I think the took the breaking off my frozen sea food. The food is the worst!!
This place is nothing fancy, just good seafood and a real fair price. Had 8 in our party and all was happy and full when we left.
ZERO seasoning! Everything here was bland for our party of 6, all having different dishes.
Good beer, wretched food.. This was our first visit. We will never go back. Fried shrimp dinner was served with the skins and legs still on. Fried fish with skin still on, dry old rice, canned vegetables…an ice cream scoop of potatoes…The server presented our bill and never bothered to clear a dish. Unacceptable. With places like Basil, Opal and Crave next door I don’t see it lasting much longer.
Great Family Restaurant. My kids love the kid’s night on Monday nights, (they have a balloon artist) and they were easily able to handle a group of 14 of us last Saturday. Can’t beat the fried shrimp or lowcountry stirfry.
