J Bergs Nacho Royale is truly the Royale for true Bach-lovers. Chips are crisp, cheese was baked and the additional toppings stood on their own. It wasn’t the sloppy lettuce/salsa/sour cream caked plate you get from most Mexican joints.. Service was excellent..
I gave this place one more try after someone told me the food had gotten better, great tacos. It had not and the tacos sucked. Fish/shrimp tacos undercooked with brown wilted lettuce…that’s it. No taste, no effort. Also NCAA football was on and a huge table of Bama fans were sucking the oxygen out of the place. Never again… Go to Taco Bell instead.
If a 3-year-old made you a quesadilla…. … it would be just like Juanita Greenberg’s.This place is not the royale of nachos.Seriously, the food we got tasted like it was microwaved. Eat at taco bell, or better yet, go to Sesame’s and get the pulled pork nachos if you want some really good nachos.
Mediocre food and service that leaves much to be desired. Won’t be back!
If you want 2 tacos and a PBR for lunch, and you would like to do so with a dog on leash and a long board as your mode of transport, J Bergs is it.
Service and food was good. I had the nacho royale with chicken and it was great. Friend had the burrito and he said it was better than qdoba or chipotle.
To call what it is that they serve a burrito is an insult to the word burrito. Theirs are extremely bland and in order to give it some actual flavor, you’ll be charged extra for every little thing you add to it. This really makes for an expensive burrito considering it that it starts at $7.75. It also says on the menu that it weighs a pound. If that burrito weighs a pound, then I am the strongest man in the world. I won’t even take the time to describe the service in detail. Bad. Go for happy hour drink prices and limit it to that.
